MINEGRO.COM offers several amazing and exciting opportunities year-round to develop professional, hands-on experience working directly with Internationally recognized, artist and hall of famer, Bert Rodriguez, in all aspects of creative studio practice. There are three specific internship positions available with a description of each below. GENERAL Guidelines / requirements for application

  • Internships are unpaid but applicable for college credits

  • Internships take place at MINEGRO.COM STUDIO in the Wynwood Art District.

  • A minimum commitment of 3 months, 15 hours a week, within a reasonably flexible schedule.

  • All interns must be responsible for a reliable mode of transportation.

  • MINEGRO.COM / BERT RODRIGUEZ does not cover any travel, housing, transportation, or living expenses.

  • Internships with MINEGRO.COM / BERT RODRIGUEZ do not imply full-time employment of any kind.

  • All applicants must be organized, open-minded, self-motivated, responsible, timely, and eager to learn.

General Preferences (Not required to apply)

  • Experience working with hand/power tools such as drill, mitre/table saw, nail guns, etc.

  • Experience in basic construction and building techniques

  • Experience with general photo/video recording techniques

  • Experience with social networking/blogging

  • Experience with Apple operating system

  • Experience with programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut Pro, Dreamweaver, and Google Sketchup

  • A personal laptop computer along with the necessary software for your specific position.

Administration

  • Occasionally acting as liaison between the artist and various galleries, museums, institutions, and clients
  • Organizing and maintaining press, mailing, and financial databases
  • Updating and maintaining digital inventory/archive of artworks
  • Researching possible grant opportunities
  • Preparing press and information packages for mailing
  • Occasional maintenance/updating of various social network sites such as twitter and facebook
  • Occasional image/video production for use in packages, website, press, etc.
  • Occasional documenting of events and performances for archival purposes
  • Occasional implementation/design of ideas

Preparation

  • Organizing, cataloging and maintaining storage and inventory

  • Installing, wrapping and storing works
  • Build out of studio interior
  • Maintenance of workshop and tools
  • Occasional light duty production, building and implementation of projects
  • Occasional documenting of events and performances for archival purposes
  • Research and development of various projects for national and international exhibition
  • Occasional image/video production for use in packages, website, press, etc.
  • Occasional implementation/design of ideas

Design

  • Design/layout of studio interior
  • Possible design/implementation of blog site
  • Preparing press and information packages for mailing
  • Updating and maintaining website
  • Occasional image/video production for use in packages, website, press, etc.
  • Occasional implementation/design of ideas
